Located 50kms north of Bordeaux, within the ancient Gallo-Roman village of Plassac, Chateau Maine Gazin is a 7.5Ha Vineyard . The property overlooks rolling hills of vineyards, down to the Gironde River and across the bank of the Medoc region. The vineyard is situated on excellent 'terroir' of limestone/clay with moderate climate influenced by the Gironde. While the area has been with vineyards since the 1st century and some buildings on the property date from 1780s, the Maison and winery are of the 1850s. The property is planted to Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
